Sit and wait clinic
We are currently running the Sit and Wait clinic as a telephone triage list. If you would like a call from the GP please phone the practice from 2pm and you will be added to the list. The GP will call you back and if they decide they want to see you, they will invite you up for an appointment.
All contraceptive services can be provided by all doctors in the practice. Our nurses are also trained in family planning and have available appointments. This practice has a particular interest in giving pre-conceptual advice for those planning a family.
The Government recommends regular cervical smears for women between the ages of 25 and 65.
Please make a routine appointment with your doctor to discuss this.
All the partners undertake full antenatal and postnatal care which they share with the community midwife. Antenatal clinics with the midwife are held weekly by appointment.
Immunisations and Vaccinations
Routine childhood immunisation clinics are held weekly by appointment.

Important information re GP and Hospital led blood tests :
Your Blood Test Services
Since October 1, 2018, blood tests, requested by us, for you, have been carried out by our own practice.
They were previously provided by staff from Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust (PHT), in line with a number of other practices in the area.
By providing the service in-house, we hope this change has helped us to improve our services to you by improving your access to our services and making it easier to make appointments at a more convenient time.
This change has also helped the local NHS streamline its community phlebotomy services across the area, so that all GP practices offer this service in the same way.
There has been no change for patients who have their blood taken at home as part of our domiciliary service.
Our staff will advise you of the booking process when we ask you to have a blood test.
Portsmouth Hospital Trust (PHT) will continue to take your bloods at Queen Alexandra Hospital if the request is as a result of an appointment you have had at the hospital or part of the care you are under at the hospital. The hospital staff will be able to tell you the opening hours of the various sites.
