Changes to Appointments Posted or Updated on 4 Jul 2024

At Brook Lane Surgery we are continually striving to make your patient experience easier with this in mind we have listened to what you have said, and we are going to trial some changes.

From the 3rd of June 2024 we will re-introduce:

• ‘Sit and Wait’ every Monday between 2pm – 4pm
  • Please do not arrive before 2pm
  • Due to demand we have to limit this to a maximum of 40 patients.
  • ‘Sit and Wait’ is for urgent concerns only that you feel will not wait for a routine appointment

From the 20th May 2024 we will also be changing the times you can make appointments:

• All urgent on the day appointments will be released at time of opening
• Routine or follow up appointments will be available from 12 noon each day from 20 May 2024 for 2 weeks or 3 days time; this is for appointments in 3 working days or 2 weeks in advance.
• E-consults are remaining for all your usual queries.

TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT:

* FROM 20/05/2024 * Call (01489) 575191 – this is the only telephone number available to book appointments. Email or text appointment requests are not accepted.

Routine appointments will be available at 12 NOON Monday-Friday

These appointments will be for 3 working days or 2 weeks in advance (if available) 

FUTURE APPOINTMENTS (TWO WEEKS AHEAD OR MORE):

To book an appointment for TWO WEEKS AHEAD (if available) (e.g. on a Monday) call at 12 NOON on Monday two weeks before.

FUTURE APPOINTMENTS (3 DAYS AHEAD):

To book an appointment for THREE WORKING DAYS AHEAD (if available), (e.g. on a Monday) call at 12 NOON on a Monday for an appointment on a Thursday. (weekends are not included). (e.g on a Friday) call at 12 noon for an appointment the following Wednesday.

Due to demand, be advised these appointments will be limited and may not be available shortly after the telephone lines open, so please continue to try daily at the stated times. Pharmacies are available to provide a variety of services & may help you without having the need to see the GP.  Appointments are also available to book online.
